SafeKeeper makes verified, scheduled copies of your photo library, so your originals stay safe and under your control.

Why it exists

Photo libraries are the hardest thing to replace and the easiest thing to lose. Drives fail quietly, cloud accounts lapse, and a copy that was never checked is not really a backup. SafeKeeper exists to make the copy and then prove the copy is good.

How it works

• Copies to storage you own. An external drive or any folder you choose — written as ordinary files, in no proprietary format.
• Verifies what it wrote. Every backup is re-read and compared against the source, so corruption surfaces instead of hiding.
• Runs on its own. A background helper keeps to your schedule and reports status in the menu bar and a widget.
